About Me
Aloha! My name is Andrea S. Frainier. I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. After 23 years of living life, I managed to pull through and graduate with a degree in journalism from San Jose State University.
Unfortunately, timing wasn’t on my side and I left college at the exact moment the economy was flushed down the toilet. Tired of working copious amounts of hours without much bacon to bring home, I decided to flee with my boyfriend to the Pacific. We landed in Kauai, where he works as a tech geek and I work at a rental car company.
Not exactly where I thought I’d land, but this blog is my attempt to keep those creative juices flowing.
We live up the side of a mountain on the east side of Kauai with our poi dog, Marley. He enjoys fetching, chewing and staring at tennis balls.
Marley and I enjoy our daily walks where we say “top of the morning to you” to plenty of cows, goats, chickens and white-clothed monks (I did mention I live across the street from a Hindu Temple, right?).
During my time off (which goes by way too fast), I cruise at the beach, hike into tropical jungles and explore the 552-square mile island I now call home. I really don’t expect more than a few dozen people to read this, but what the heck.
